Over 100 Labour MPs support bid to block the government’s benefit cuts

More than 100 Labour MPs have signed a commons amendment aimed at blocking cuts in disability and sickness benefits – as the Government tries to make savings of £5 billion a year by the end of the decade.

The amendment would stop the bill from getting a second reading claiming disabled people and their carers have not been formally consulted about the changes.
