Over 100 MPs demand law change so parents of critically ill children get support

Over 150 MPs and peers are urging Keir Starmer to bring in a new law which would give financial support to the parents of critically ill children, after a campaign by a dad who lost his six-year-old son to cancer.

Ceri Menai-Davis walked 100km from Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge to 10 Downing Street in Westminster, to deliver the prime minister a letter, pleading with him to give statutory rights to the parents of poorly children.
