California Governor Gavin Newsom has criticised Donald Trump calling him "the most unpopular president in American history".
Speaking to Channel 4 News, Newsom argued that the overwhelming majority of Americans oppose Trump and emphasised that the president’s power is temporary saying "He’s going to get crushed in the midterm elections".

Newsom made the comments in Munich where he’s attending a major security conference.
