Pager attacks were 'slap in the face' for peace | Middle East tensions

Lebanon’s health minister has accused Israel of undermining attempts to bring peace to the region after thousands of Hezbollah members were injured when their pagers exploded.

Dr Firass Abiad told Sky News most of those injured suffered wounds to their faces and hands, while many "have practically lost their eyesight".

At least 12 died in the attack – Israel has not commented but it is widely suspected of carrying out the operation.
