Pakistan bombing: At least 54 dead as Islamic State claim responsibility

The extremist Islamic State group has said it carried out yesterday’s devastating suicide bomb attack in Pakistan.

Funerals began for the 54 people who were killed – while many of the more than 130 injured are still being treated in hospital.

The attack is the latest sign of the deteriorating security situation in the country which is also preparing for elections later this year.
