Pakistani Taliban now denying responsibility for suicide bombing in Islamabad | DW News

The Pakistani Taliban — or TTP — is refuting an earlier claim of responsibility for a deadly suicide bombing at a court in the Palistani capital, Islamabad.

The country’s interior minister says 12 people were killed – more than two dozen others were reportedly injured. An earlier statement by a breakaway faction of the Pakistani Taliban claimed that it had targeted judges, lawyers and officials working under what they called "un-Islamic laws". Shortly after, one of the group’s commanders said that no such claim had been made.
