Pakistan’s eastern city of Lahore has been ranked the most polluted place in the world – as it chokes under a thick cloud of winter smog.
The Swiss air monitor index IQ Air said it had reached hazardous levels – more than 48 times the World Health Organisation’s guideline value.
Lahore’s smog has been made worse by crop burning, emissions from vehicles and industrial pollution.
