Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is in Lebanon for a three-day visit to discuss disarmament in Palestinian refugee camps there. Abbas was received by Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in the capital Beirut. The refugee camps are run by militias, including Hamas. But Lebanon wants those militias out so it can take charge. The Palestinian camps house hundreds of thousands of people, and have existed in Lebanon for many decades. They’ve become a dead end for many of the people who live in them.
