The UK has formally recognised Palestinian statehood alongside Canada and Australia and more countries including France are expected to join the list this week.
Speaking during the ceremony, the head of the Palestinian mission to the UK, Husam Zomlot, said "Palestine exists. It has always existed, and it always will."
