The parents of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, an American-Israeli hostage killed in Gaza, have paid tribute to him at his funeral in Jerusalem.
He was murdered alongside five other hostages in a tunnel in the Rafah area of southern Gaza.
Mrs Goldberg asked: "What must I have done in a past life to deserve such a gift?", adding "I am so grateful to God for giving me this magnificent present of my Hersh. I just wish it had been for longer."
His father described his "23 years of life" as a "blessing" to all he knew and he "always sought ways to make the world around him better."
