Partey granted bail on rape charges

The footballer Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after appearing in court charged with five counts of rape and one of sexual assault.

The alleged offences all occurred during his time at Arsenal Football Club. He was charged in June, four days after his contract there expired, and is currently without a club.

His lawyer has said Partey denies all the charges against him.
