Patel grilled over Olympics trip and alleged drinking

In a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday, Sen. Peter Welch (D-VT) questioned FBI Director Kash Patel on his decision to file a defamation lawsuit against The Atlantic after it printed an article alleging that Patel’s "excessive drinking" had impaired his ability to do his job. Welch also pressed Patel on his presence at the Winter Olympics in Italy earlier this year.
