Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told world leaders on Wednesday that the world is in “the most destructive arms race in history,” as he called on the international community to act against Russia now.
Speaking at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, the Ukrainian president warned: “Ukraine is only the first and now Russian drones are already flying across Europe, and Russian operations are already spreading across countries.
"Putin wants to continue this war by expanding it.”
Zelenskyy’s address comes just a day after his American counterpart, Donald Trump, delivered his own remarks, which, along with criticism of a broken escalator, included fierce criticism of the UN and personal attacks on the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.
