Penny Mordaunt, the leader of the Commons, has said there will be a free vote on the privileges committee’s report on Monday.

Speaking in the Commons during questions on next week’s business, Mordaunt said MPs should not be subject to pressure before the vote. ‘All of us must do what we think is right, and others must leave us alone to do so,’ she said.
