‘People feel dehumanised’: social housing complaints rise 400%

Complaints about social housing by tenants have risen more than four hundred percent in the last five years – that’s according to a new report from the Housing Ombudsman.

Richard Blakeway says the majority of the complaints are due to poor practices and warns that "simmering anger at poor housing conditions" could lead to "social disquiet".

We spoke to the housing campaigner Kwajo Tweneboa, who began by giving me examples of some of the cases he’s seen.
