Peston pushes Starmer on why he’s not doing more to eradicate poverty in school reforms | ITV News

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer was interviewed by ITV News Political Editor Robert Peston to discuss his plan to overhaul the education system.

His plan includes a policy to teach primary school children ‘oracy’ but he would not commit to a recommended pay rise for teachers.

He’s also pressed on why he was not doing more to eradicate poverty.
