Peter Mandelson sacked as US ambassador over Jeffrey Epstein emails

Peter Mandelson has been sacked as US ambassador after fresh revelations about his relationship with the convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The foreign office announced on Thursday that "in light of the additional information in emails written by Peter Mandelson, the prime minister has asked the Foreign Secretary to withdraw him as Ambassador.
