Birmingham’s creative community has paid tribute to poet, author, and campaigner Benjamin Zephaniah who died today at the age of 65.
In a statement released by his family, they said he’d been diagnosed with a brain tumour eight weeks previously.
Alongside his poetry and literature, he was also known for acting roles, such as his appearances in the hit TV series Peaky Blinders set in 1920s Birmingham.
