Northamptonshire Police have apologised for the way they carried out an investigation into the death of 19-year-old Harry Dunn, who was killed in a motorcycle accident in August 2019.
An independent review has found that officers failed to arrest US citizen Anne Sacoolas, who later pleaded guilty to causing the accident, because they prioritised her welfare over ‘a prompt and effective investigation’.
Ms Sacoolas went on to leave the UK under diplomatic immunity.
