Detective Superintendent Lewis Basford from Scotland Yard has made a statement outside the Old Bailey, where Constance Marten and Mark Gordon have been found guilty of killing their newborn baby.
He thanked the police and the media for their help throughout the investigation and said that Marten and Gordon deliberately avoided authorities, and "continued to shield baby Victoria from the police, even after their arrest".
