Police brutality that killed hundreds of protesters in Bangladesh revealed

The student protests last summer that helped topple Tulip Siddiq’s aunt, the authoritarian prime minister Sheikh Hasina, came with bloodshed and brutality as police opened fire on unarmed protestors.

As many as 1,500 people died and for many families, what happened to their loved ones remains unknown. Using mobile phone and social media footage, the International Truth and Justice Project has managed to tell some of those stories.
