Police carry out raids after UK riots as eleven year old detained in Middlesbrough

An 11-year-old boy has been detained by police in connection with the nationwide riots which broke out earlier this month.

During a series of raids this morning, Cleveland police made 14 arrests over the disorder in Hartlepool and Middlesbrough.

Officers said the message to those who had been involved in the violence was "you haven’t got away with it".
