A 76-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of administering poison at a summer camp, which led to eight children being taken to hospital as a precaution.
Leicestershire Police have put up a cordon in Canal Lane, Stathern, Leicestershire, where children became unwell at a summer camp.
Two police cars and three officers have been at the cordon, while other police vehicles have been leaving the site.
More officers can be seen in the distance beyond the cordon, which has blocked off a stretch of the road.
All the children at the summer camp were assessed by the East Midlands Ambulance Service. The eight children taken to hospital have all since been discharged.
The man was arrested at the camp on suspicion of administering poison/a noxious thing with intent to injure/aggrieve/annoy. He is still in custody.
Police remain in Stathern today to carry out further enquiries and provide reassurance to families affected, as well as people living in the area.
Leicestershire Police has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
