Police have been questioning a man who allegedly drove into a crowd at Liverpool FC’s victory parade.
Officers were granted further time to question the 53-year-old man, from West Derby, Liverpool, who is in custody on suspicion of attempted murder, dangerous driving and drug driving.
The extension came in on Wednesday, 28 May and remains until Thursday.
Detective Chief Superintendent Karen Jaundrill said 79 people had been injured following the incident in Water Street in the city centre on 26 May.
More than 50 people, including children, were treated in different hospitals with seven people remained there on Wednesday in a stable condition.
