Police pilot new domestic abuse powers

Greater Manchester Police are piloting new powers to tackle domestic abusers called DAPOs – or Domestic Abuse Protection Orders.

They allow police to apply through the courts for restrictions on abusers and have already been leading to lengthy prison sentences.
