
A magnitude-7.8 earthquake has rocked part of the southern Philippines early on Monday, collapsing buildings and killing more than a dozen people.

Footage shows a building crumpling in General Santos City and people fleeing shops in a market in Davao City. The national disaster agency said at least 19 people had died, while 134 were injured and 12 remained missing, although the figures were still being verified. The Office of Civil Defense urged residents to stay out of damaged buildings amid a risk of aftershocks
