Presidential palace retaken by Sudan’s army

The Sudanese army are celebrating in Khartoum after retaking the presidential palace.

This marks a symbolic victory for the army during their two year conflict against their former allies, the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces. The RSF still control other regions and parts of western Darfur, meaning the war is far from over.
