The pro-European Union mayor of Bucharest has won the Romanian presidential election. Nicusor Dan defeated a hard-right nationalist opponent who modeled his campaign on that of Donald Trump. Dan has vowed to rebuild Romania, which is one of the European Union’s poorest members. He also promised to maintain support for neighboring Ukraine. DW’s Anchal Vohra reports from Bucharest.
