Protests and counter protests over hotels housing asylum seekers held across UK

Nigel Farage has pledged five deportation flights a day for illegal immigrants if he becomes prime minister.

Despite the practical difficulties, the Reform leader’s plans have been welcomed by people turning out in towns and cities across the country this weekend to protest against housing asylum seekers in hotels.

Some scuffled with police, others with anti-racism groups staging counter-demonstrations.
