The Democratic Unionist party has agreed to end a boycott that left Northern Ireland without a power-sharing administration for two years, it said on Tuesday – a breakthrough that could restore a Belfast government within days. After a late-night meeting, the DUP leader Jeffrey Donaldson said the party’s executive had backed proposals to return to government.
