Punk rappers Bob Vylan release statement after controversial Glastonbury set

Rap duo Bob Vylan have accused the government and the media of targeting them following their headline-grabbing Glastonbury show.

The band were heavily criticised for leading a chant of "death to the IDF" – and for using the slogan "from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free", which some interpret as calling for the destruction of Israel.

In their statement, the group said they were a "distraction from the story" and that whatever "sanctions" they received would also be a distraction.
