Putin declares three day ceasefire

Vladimir Putin has announced a temporary three-day ceasefire in Ukraine from the 8th to the 10th of May to mark the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory in World War Two.

Ukraine has not yet responded but Russia says that the "Ukrainian side should follow this example."
