Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party has received a higher number of votes in the country’s tightly controlled elections than before the full scale war, according to preliminary results.
Anti-war parties were banned from taking part.
In the republic of Chechnya, there was an equally unsurprising result as Ramzan Kadyrov was re-elected as president with 99.85% of the vote.
