Sara Sharif’s father and stepmother have been handed life sentences for murdering the 10-year-old after she suffered years of abuse.
Prosecutors said Sara started wearing a hijab to hide her injuries before she was taken out of school to be educated at home in April 2023.
Now questions are being raised about whether there needs to be more regulation with homeschooling.
