
While observing migrating whales, Alex Forrest is believed to have become one of only four people to have ever captured a humpback whale giving birth – and the first ever to do so by drone.
While conducting aerial observations of migrating humpback whales off the New South Wales coast for the Organisation for the Rescue and Research of Cetaceans in Australia, Forrest also witnessed the newborn calf’s first breath and swim with its mother.
