Raw materials to keep Scunthorpe’s British Steel plant open reach UK

Raw materials secured by the Government are being transported to British Steel’s Scunthorpe plant to keep its blast furnaces burning.

Coal and iron ore are being unloaded at nearby Immingham docks in Lincolnshire after the government took control of the Chinese-owned British Steel plant after a special sitting of parliament on Saturday.
