Renewed debate over advanced age of many US politicians

In the US, there’s renewed debate over the advanced age of many of the country’s politicians, after the Republican senate leader Mitch McConnell appeared to freeze during a press conference for a second time in recent months.

Mr McConnell, who’s 81, fell silent for around thirty seconds, and while a spokesperson later said he’d felt ‘momentarily light-headed’, it’s the latest in a string of similar incidents involving senior politicians on both sides.
