Resident doctors in England will go on strike this week as the government has failed to make an offer that would "meet the scale" of the challenges felt by medics, the British Medical Association (BMA) has said.
Speaking to Mark Austin, Acute director at NHS Confederation, Rory Deighton said "NHS leaders will put patient safety at the core of their response…NHS leaders believe that they can keep more elective care going across this period of strike action".
