The American XL bully dog will be banned in the UK by the end of the year after a series of serious attacks, the prime minister has said.

Announcing the move, Rishi Sunak said he shared ‘the nation’s horror’ over recent dog attacks, and that he ‘wants to reassure people that we are urgently working on ways to stop these attacks and protect the public’.
