Rishi Sunak has said the UK will work with the US over the forthcoming challenges AI poses.
He spoke about the technology as both nations agreed a new partnership to bolster economic security in response to the growing threat of China.
The Prime Minister said: "Last week the pioneers of artificial intelligence warned us about the scale of the challenge as well as the opportunity.
"Today the president and I agreed to work together on AI safety including multi-laterally."
