Rishi Sunak suggests fixing potholes in the north is a priority amid HS2 speculation – audio

The UK prime minister spoke to Anna Jameson, on BBC Radio Manchester about HS2. Amid speculation the government is planning to scrap the railway extension to Manchester to save money, Sunak refused to comment. Instead, he said: ‘The majority of journeys that people make are in their cars. Making sure that we make sure our roads are well maintained is very important’
