Risks of flea and tick treatment on environment ‘seriously underestimated’

Dr Rose Perkins, a visiting Fellow at Imperial College, contributed to a new report by the House of Lords calling for over-the-counter flea treatments to be restricted.

She tells ITV News that monthly spot treatments for cats and dogs can ‘do more harm than good’ by contaminating our homes and the environment, posing a risk to human health.
