The measure of Rory McIlroy’s sporting achievement may be only just beginning to sink in, this evening, for the Northern Ireland golfer.
The joy was plain to see when, late last night, he won the Augusta Masters. And the celebrations, both in the US and back home, have been non stop since.
Only five other golfers in history have won a career ‘grand slam’ of all four Major titles, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods being the most recent.
