Runners flock to Dubai malls to beat the heat

With temperatures in the Gulf topping 50°C (around 120° Fahrenheit) this summer, people in Dubai found a way to stay fit. During the month of August, nine of the city’s biggest malls transformed into indoor running tracks. Organizers recorded more than 120 million steps—and the ‘Mallathon’ even secured a Guinness World Record for the most runners in a mall run event. CNN’s Bijan Hosseini went to try it out.
