Rupert Murdoch Succession: eldest son inherits empire as siblings share billions

Rupert Murdoch’s long drawn-out succession plan, and bitter family feud, has finally been resolved.

The Murdoch children’s dispute about their father’s media empire is over with Lachlan Murdoch, Rupert Murdoch’s eldest son, taking control of Fox News, The Wall Street Journal and The Times in the UK amongst others.

But his three oldest siblings won’t go empty handed – they’ll receive an estimated $1.1bn Dollars each for their shares in the business.
