The promotors of Russell Brand’s tour of UK theatres have postponed the remaining three shows scheduled for this month – after the Met Police said they had received a report of an alleged sexual assault in central London in 2003.

Brand has strongly denied the allegations of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse made by several women – following a lengthy investigation by the Times, The Sunday Times and Channel 4.
The prime minister’s spokesman has described the allegations as "very serious and concerning".
