Russia confirms killing of General Mikhail Gudkov, deputy head of the navy, in Ukrainian airstrike

Russia’s defense ministry has confirmed the death of a top general in the Kursk region, which borders Ukraine. Reports say Mikhail Gudkov, deputy head of the navy, died in a Ukrainian airstrike. He’s one of the most senior members of the Russian military to be killed since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
