Russian authorities said the fire started at a roadside car repair shop near Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan. It took firefighters more than three and a half hours to put out the blaze that spread into an area covering 600 square metres, Tass reported. A criminal investigation has been launched into what caused the fire by Russia’s investigative committee.
