Russia launches ‘largest assault’ on Ukraine so far this year

Russia has launched one of its biggest attacks on Ukraine so far this year, sending cruise missiles into western cities many hundreds of miles from the front line.

One person was killed and several injured when missiles and drones struck the historic centre of Lviv. President Zelenskyy said an American-owned electronics company was among civilian infrastructure hit in Mukachevo near the Hungarian border.
