Russia targets Ukraine’s energy infrastructure in drone and missile strikes

Russia has again targeted Ukraine’s energy infrastructure in a huge barrage of overnight drone and missile strikes. Officials say several thermal and hydroelectric power plants were damaged in attacks targeting ten regions.

Strikes in western Ukraine even prompted Poland to scramble its jets. And hours later, its Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned that Europe is entering a "prewar" era it’s not ready for.
